Chef Baker Jobs description
Chef bakers make a variety of baked items including pastries, cakes, breads, donuts, icings, cookies, pizzas, and biscuits. They do much of their work by hand, although nowadays new manufacturing equipment is used for mixing batter and kneading dough. Chef bakers are usually supervised by a head chef, who is in charge of the whole kitchen. Chef bakers sometimes have assistants that knead dough or do less complicated baking work. Industrial chef bakers make large quantities of baked goods for various outlets. These baked goods are branded by their respective companies.Chef bakers work with fry cooks, roast cooks, and vegetable cooks in hotels, restaurants, and cafes. The current employment trends for chef bakers should be favorable in the coming years. Most chef baker jobs require on-the-job training, the completion of an apprenticeship at a food establishment, or classroom training at a chef training center. A bachelor's degree in hotel management is essential for securing a good job as a chef baker.
