Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef for St. Ambrose University located in Davenport, IA. St. Ambrose University is a part of the Quad Cities \u2013 a bi-state (Iowa and Illinois) metropolitan area situated on the only major stretch of the Mississippi River that runs from east to west. The university resident dinning serves 1600 students as well as food court, coffee shop and conference center.
The Chef will lead daily catering operations on the campus. The Chef will be responsible for all aspects of campus catering from coordinating event details with the client to event execution. Events can range in size from small coffee service to large dinner parties, receptions, fundraisers, orientations, picnics and upscale functions. The Chef will also be responsible for food quality and execution in the Food Court.
The ideal candidate will have: hands-on college/university catering supervision experience or similar \u2013 experience training and leading a cooking staff \u2013 experience managing all types of catering and banquet events \u2013 excellent client relation and service skills.
The successful candidate will:

be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience \u2013 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
