GENERAL SUMMARY:
Prepares food for all food service operation and assists in the sanitation of Dietary.
PRINCIPLE JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Orders food and maintains inventory level for patient and staff meals
• Prepares and portions food according to menu
• Monitors quality and temperature of food
• Maintains clean and orderly workstation
• Maintains documentation as requested or required
• Stores food and equipment according to guidelines
• Prepares special diets accurately
• Assures quality and timelines of food service
• Assures patient needs for nourishment are met
• Documents temperatures, patient meals and meal tickets
• Adheres to hospital polices and procedures
• Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct
• Conduct reflects the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct
• Performs other duties as requested or required
','!*!QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must have 1 year of institutional cooking experience.
FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY:
Essential function of the job includes: Walking and standing daily, infrequently carrying up to 40 lbs., ability to grasp, requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, hand-eye coordination, manual and finger dexterity. OSHA BLOOD BORNE CATEGORY III.
