Research Chef Jobs
Research chefs are usually associated with culinary jobs though it is related to research and development of food services. The research chef has to focus on the business issues related to the culinary industry and chalk out plans of expansion, promotion, and development of his associated company. The Research chef also has to formulate new inventive food ideas for application in the workplace. The research chef has to research information related to major food manufacturers, assess the price trends of foodstuffs, and work with large food retail chains. New food concepts are introduced by the research chef with the ever-changing tastes of food-loving customers. The research chef is also expected to work on menu development, better the present manufacturing concepts and formulate new culinary recipes belonging to different origins of the world.
Candidates applying for the post of the research chef are expected to have at least 5+ years experience in the field and the food manufacturing research industry. He should also possess ample knowledge with regards to a variety of cuisines. A degree in food science is preferable for the post of the research chef.
