Layoffs announced at Heinz plant in eastern Idaho

Heinz has announced layoffs at it’s plant in eastern Idaho. The company plans to lay off 80 percent of it’s employees at the plant next month, due to a phasing out of T.G.I. Friday’s frozen meals. However, Heinz will keep 400 employees to produce entrees and snack items. The layoffs will be in effect starting on March 4.
