We are looking for a Chef Manager to manage production, food quality and presentation, and cost control at this major account in the Columbus, OH market.  Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Chef Manager administers and directs all unit activities related to food production and culinary operations, complying with the standards established by ARAMARK Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client. Leads food production staff. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees. Supervises/coordinates all culinary activities. Level of impact is within own operation.
Specifically, the Chef Manager will manage the production area, including the preparation of food for the patient and retail services sides.  The incumbent is responsible for managing food cost, safety, sanitation, quality, client budget, menu writing, staff training and development, and maintaining all related systems.

Key Responsibilities
Delivers strong operational performance by executing against ARAMARK Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service.
Drives patient and customer satisfaction, and maintains client relationships through rounding.
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of the food production staff regarding food production, presentation, quality, cost control, and food safety and sanitation. 
Responsible for overseeing purchasing, receiving, and managing food production activities in compliance with ARAMARK Healthcare food production systems.
Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply and cost control within budgetary guidelines. 
Responsible for menu planning, pre-costing and post-costing.

Chef Manager - Healthcare - Columbus Oh Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Culinary Degree required; Certified Chef preferred.
Minimum 4 years culinary experience, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
Previous exposure to Kosher preferred.
Solid working knowledge of MicroSoft Office systems.
Contract management experience preferred.
Successful experience with food cost and labor cost control.
Experience in planning and production of catered events for up to 500 guests.
Demonstrated ability in menu development, food preparation and utilization of productions systems.
Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability in development of culinary production team.
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client/customer satisfaction.
