Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; College degree (May substitute additional experience for degree);
Minimum two years formal culinary management education or two years experience in similar position;
Must be able to read, write, and understand English (bilingual ability is a plus);
Must have basic working knowledge of math and computer skills pertaining to this position;
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in all reporting positions;
Must have ability to get along with others;
Must achieve Serv Safe certification within six (6) months of hire.
Job Functions:
Responsible for assisting Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager in overall kitchen operations;
Monitor all food preparation and assure all recipes and procedures are adhered to as directed by Executive chef;
Ensure orders are submitted to purchasing agent in a timely fashion as set by purchasing department;
Monitor waste and over production, utilize leftovers, ensure proper rotation and quality control of products;
Responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas;
Responsible for cleanliness and organization of all coolers and freezers in kitchen area;
Train kitchen staff in proper culinary procedures and set up production schedules to meet product needs;
Completes schedules, trains new hires and monitors activity;
Work closely with outlet manager to achieve department goals;
Assist outlet manager/Chef with monthly inventory requirements;
