**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.\nSenior Living is seeking an Executive Chef / Certified Executive Chef\n/ CEC / Chef for a for a 130+ resident Continuing Care retirement\ncommunity in Avon, OH. The Executive Chef at this community will be\ninvolved with and responsible to manage the daily operations of the\nkitchen, implement production processes, provide oversight to catering\nevents, properly manage food and labor costs and have a through\nworking understanding of HACCP, all to exceed resident and client\nexpectations. Best qualified candidate possesses excellent leadership\nand communication skills. It will be required that this position be\nhands on during resident and client functions to produce outstanding\nand high quality food and dining experiences.
The Executive Chef will\nhave skills to develop menus for all dining events and areas inclusive\nof bistro dining venues and provide training to the sous chef and\nculinary staff. The ability to handle multiple priorities is\nhelpful.
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate for\nthis position will have experience respectfully supervising and\nsupporting the production functions of kitchen staff, the ability to\nmotivate employees to continually improve performance and outcomes\nwith a passion for preparing and executing outstanding dining\nexperiences. The adherence to proper food handling and proper safety\nprograms is critical to success.
Experience in health care /hospitals\n/ retirement community / country club /fine dining is ideal. Working\nknowledge of web based programs is needed to be successful. . \nCulinary degree required and CEC certification preferred. Preferred\ncandidate must possess or be capable of obtaining within 6 months ACF\nCertification certified Executive Chef (CEC) or Certified Chef de\nCuisine (CCC).

Designs, supervises, coordinates and\nparticipates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a\nsmall account. This position is recognized as the technical expert,\nteacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account.\nSelects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops\nmenu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food,\nestablishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and\nhires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer\nsolutions. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically\nhas chefs and cooks reporting to this position.
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or\nVocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic\nFunctional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary\nservices including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services,\ninstitutional services, mall food courts, etc.
