We have\nan exciting career opportunity for an Executive Chef at Texas A&M\nUniversity-Commerce.

Our Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the\nculinary operations for all food outlets including a all you care to\neat resident dining room serving up to 1800 meals daily, Two retail\nfood venues and a high volume University catering\ndepartment.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing the daily food\nproduction including production planning and controls

- Labor and food\ncost controls
- Menu development and inventory management
-\nFlexibility to work varied shifts as dictated by business needs
- A\nsolid background which includes training and leading a culinary staff\nwith a focus on food and physical safety

POSITION\nSUMMARY:
Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in\nactivities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a medium to large\naccount. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher\nand trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and\ndevelops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu,\nimplements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes\nproduction levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new\nchefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions, may\ntrain other chefs outside account. May cook selected items, and plan\nor price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this\nposition.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Education Requirement\n- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management\nExperience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work\nexperience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast\nfood, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food\ncourts, etc.
