Under direct supervision from the Food Production Manager, is responsible for the

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak,
And understand the English language.
Licensure, Certification and Registration:
Work Orientation and Experience:
Must possess two (2) years institutional or related experience in food preparation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must possess basic math skills.
Must possess a basic knowledge of cooking techniques.
Other Requirements Specific to Assigned Area:
Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other personnel. Must deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Must maintain the care of equipment, appearance of the kitchen and minimize the waste of supplies.
Reports directly to the Food Production Manager.

Knives, Cooking Utensils, Portion Control Scale, Meat Slicer, Buffalo Chopper, Robot
Coupe, Ovens, Stoves, Steam Kettle, Convection Steamer, Can Opener, Steam Table, Push Cart, Refrigerators, Freezers, Deep Fat Fryer, Convection Oven, Mixer, Blender.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical effort required. Walks, stands, bends, and lifts most of the day. Must be able to
lift 40 pounds. Works in a hot, humid environment. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies.
