**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a Dynamic Executive Chef to join the Food and Nutrition Services department at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. Rose Medical Center – a HealthONE hospital - is an acute care facility with 422 licensed beds and has been a proud member of the community since 1945. Our Executive Chef will manage and direct the culinary production in a foodservice operation reporting to the General Manager. Responsibilities include menu development, food inventory and ordering, conducting culinary training, supervising the culinary staff , overseeing a high end Doctors Dining Room, 5 Private Suites, and helping to impact Food Satisfaction scores with AYR Room Service. The Executive Chef will adhere to strict HACCP guidelines regarding the production, preparation and presentation of food and will follow **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. business practices to uphold our mission and values. Preferred qualifications include ACF (CEC) certification, demonstrated knowledge of HACCP protocols, 3 years prior Executive Chef experience in a healthcare setting.
Position Summary
Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a medium to large account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions, may train other chefs outside account. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
