new Radisson Blu to open in North America. Upper Upscale by industry definition. First class in any other language. High on design and style, all wrapped up in a Yes I Can! Attitude. We are beginning our talent search for the best in the Twin Cities. We are accepting applications now for a February employment.
The Radisson Blu Mall of America will feature 500 design forward guest rooms, unique spaces and over 26,000 square feet of meeting space, and is the only hotel connected to the Mall of America.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide hotel guests and industry relations with information and support in a professional and gracious manner, through hands-on performance and direction as the Department Head of the Concierge Team.
1. Ensure guests are promptly greeted and assisted in the Front Office area upon arrival.
2. Establish a call back program to contact guests who have arrived to ensure their comfort and to offer assistance.
3. Review VIP and package and package arrivals daily. Ensure that all packages are logged and delivered in a timely fashion in coordination with the Concierge and Bell Services teams.
4. Personally develop relations with well-established services: florists, limousines; bonded baby sitters, etc.
5. Make reservations for guests in all facets of the hospitality industry: restaurants, airlines, car rentals, entertainment, movies, shows/plays, etc.
7. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the city and geography of surrounding areas, as well as restaurants, amenities, clubs and tourism industries to provide to hotel guests.
8. Maintain follow up log for communications between members of Concierge Team.
9. Assist Sales, as needed, with the promotion of the hotel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for proper training and daily monitoring of all service levels provided by employees to guests and other fellow employees;
- Schedule, oversee, and supervise all duties performed by all Concierge employees;
- Coach and Counsel employees, as needed using established company methods.
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding levels of company standards of service.
- Monitor and maintain proper Concierge operational supplies;
- Accountable for payroll and expense budgets.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 -5 years experience in similar position;
- Minimum one year upper upscale hotel experience;
- High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred;
- Excellent communication skills, ability to influence situations;
- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork;
- Strong Microsoft Office suite and reporting skills;
- Ability to work a flexible schedule;
- Minimum 3 -5 years experience in similar position;
- Minimum one year upper upscale hotel experience;
- High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred;
