Reporting directly to the General Manager,\nthis position will be responsible for daily oversight of all back of\nthe house operations including hands on cooking and catering\nproduction. Day to day our Executive Chef will be responsible for\nproduction, food and labor cost control, food safety and quality\nstandards, and training and performance management for a unionized\nteam of 35 employees.
In addition to stellar culinary skills and\nexperience, our selected candidate will have exceptional attention to\ndetail, savvy systems orientation and the ability to multi-task and\nprioritize in a dynamic and ever changing environment. Hospital\nculinary leadership experience is highly desirable. Experience\nmanaging in a unionized environment is preferred.

Designs, supervises,\ncoordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen\npersonnel in the largest accounts or in an account requiring a highly\nskilled Executive Chef. This position is recognized as the technical\nexpert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the\naccount. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients.\nDevelops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food,\nestablishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and\nhires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer\nsolutions, may train other chefs outside account. May cook selected\nitems, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks\nreporting to this position.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Basic\nEducation Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School\nDegree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional\nExperience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services\nincluding restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services,\ninstitutional services, mall food courts, etc.
