The Chef Manager at this community will be involved with and responsible to manage the daily operations of a restaurant kitchen including: implement production processes, develop menus, provide oversight to catering events, properly manage food and labor costs and have a through working understanding of HACCP, all to exceed resident and client expectations. Best qualified candidate possesses excellent leadership and communication skills. It will be required that this position be hands on to produce outstanding and high quality food and dining experiences.
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have experience respectfully supervising and supporting the production functions of kitchen staff, the ability to motivate employees to continually improve performance and outcomes with a passion for preparing and executing outstanding dining experiences. The adherence to proper food handling and proper safety programs is critical to success.
Experience in restaurant/country club /fine dining is ideal. A culinary degree is helpful. Working knowledge of web based programs is needed to be successful.

Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to GM.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
