Position start time is between 12:00 AM - 12:30 AM.
This role will primarily be a sauce cook, but will provide back-up support for the dough maker and blender positions. The incumbent will be trained in all cook, ABM, and blender job duties. Position will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to preparing, mixing, and loading ingredients into sauce kettles and ABM mixers according to recipes and formulas in a timely manner, filling out all required Government and Company documentation in English, inspection of work environment including equipment adjustments as necessary, following all company SOP’s while ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met.
Obtain daily schedule and tools/utensils necessary for start up
Compete all required documentation in English (e.g., scale verification, batch blend, time blend, SSOP, ABM belt check, centerline check, inventory tracking form)
Inspect work environment for normal/abnormal defects prior to startup ensuring proper notifications upon discovery (e.g., QA, Supervisor, Maintenance)
Transfer all ingredients to kitchen & ABM areas using PIT ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met
Review SAP requisitions and batch sheets in English to ensure all items and quantities received are correct
Perform sauce viscosity, temperature checks, and sauce samples checks while adhering to company standards
Enter daily all kitchen usage data into computer via Shopfloor Control in English
Ensure all changeover activities are complete including returning ingredients, disposing of trash, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment
Set machine controls to proper settings according to procedure
Load ingredients to dough kettles and monitor batch process
Transport dough to the line in a timely manner
Perform general housekeeping duties (e.g., sweeping, mopping, etc.)
May perform other duties as assigned
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend required paperwork in English
Excellent communication skills
Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels
Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
Basic knowledge of computers
Ability to complete work requests in English for the correction of defects and improvements
Ability to move up to 75 lbs
Ability to move wheeled cart weighing approximately 1200 pounds approximately 30 feet
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of GMP’s and food allergens
Ability to be HACCP Certified, PIT Certified, and LOTO Certified
Ability to identify Critical Control Points (CCP)
Ability to read a thermometer in English
Knowledge of the 5S concept
Ability to work in hot or cold environments
Ability to work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience Required: Minimum 3 months production or related experience preferred.
